从黄玉雪生活的时代特征出发,了解作者对待社会和人生的态度,以及作者的创作动机,重新审视《华女阿五》中的文化倾向问题,我们会发现所谓的“白化”问题只是时代特征在作品的一个投影。实际上作者以中立的态度对待中美两种不同的文化,她以温和的笔调娓娓道来,在冲突的文化间选择了一个支点。
By axalyzing the characteristics of Jade Snow Wong' s time, her attitude to the society and life, and her motive of creation, and by rethinking over the cultural liability of The Fifth Chinese Daughter, we will notice that the so-called problem ' whiten' is a projection of the characteristics of the times in this work. In fact, the writer' s attitude to the Chinese and American different cultures is quite neutral, she wrote in a mild tone by choosing a balance point between those two incompatible cultures.
