摘要
学英语要掌握大量的词汇,而掌握好词根和词缀是提高词汇量的有效途径之一。阅读理解和写作实践以及口语交流中出现的问题大多是由于词汇知识不足所引起。本文以认知语言学为框架,主要从范畴化、原型性及象似性理论对词根和词缀进行分析,并就其对词汇学习所产生的积极意义进行探讨。
Vocabulary plays an important role in the process of English learning and it can be an effective way to know more about vocabulary through roots together with affixes. The importance of vocabulary also lies in reading comprehension, writing and oral English. And this paper analyzes roots and affixes from the perspective of cognitive linguistics, mainly through the theories of categorization, prototype and iconicity. Also it tries to explore the effectiveness of this approach to vocabulary learning.
