摘要
本研究采用个案研究的方法,通过跟踪一名高等师范院校英语专业本科生参加教育实习的全过程,试图了解教育实习对职前英语教师专业发展的影响和作用。研究结果表明:在教育实习中,职前教师经历了一个动态的专业发展过程,其对英语教学的认识、对学生的了解、对自我身份的认同等方面是交织发展的,其教师知识、执教能力和反思能力等也都有相当程度的积累和提升。本研究有助于教师教育工作者了解职前英语教师在教育实习中的专业发展过程和其特点,所遇到的困惑和问题以及有效解决问题的方式,也有助于教师教育者为职前英语教师获取在教育实习中的最大收益提供更有力的指导和帮助。
By employing the method of a case study,the authors explored the role and effects of teaching practicum on a pre-sorvice EFL teacher's initial professional development. It is found that the pre-service teacher's understanding of teaching,her understanding of the students,and her confidence in herself as a teacher evolved in a dynamic developmental process. Her teacher knowledge,teaching skills and reflective ability all developed to a large extent. This study has provided a useful opportunity for teacher educators to better understand the process of how a student teacher moves from a student to a teacher,what characterizes such a process,and what problems or difficulties the student teachers may encounter,and how such problems can be solved. The study has also provided important implications for teacher educators to better support student teachers before and during the process of teaching practicum.
