摘要
1998年的高等教育本科目录调整以"艺术设计"替代"工艺美术"相关专业,在一定程度上反映了国家工业化的进程,但也造成了两者在使用时的意义模糊。我们应从保护传统文化乃至民族文化认同感角度,在高等教育中重提"工艺美术",保留并发扬其在表述中国传统造物文化方面沉淀的丰富内涵,而不是草率地以"艺术设计"代替"工艺美术"。
Arts and Crafts has profound cultural background. Being different from fine art, it is a creating art that mainly is practical and with aesthetical character, and it can be called design art in the Chinese context. There is no essential difference between the expressions ‘arts and crafts’ we once used and the ‘artistic design’ that with modern meaning. However, after the concept ‘design art’ has been raised, it caused misunderstanding, and the concept of ‘arts and crafts’ that was used to by people and had certain history was overviewed, which is not right. Especially, in the subject list of high school education in 1998, the concept ‘arts and crafts’ was replaced by ‘artistic design’ to express the subject, which respected the progress of industrialization in China, but also caused the meaning of the two concepts unclear. We should start from preserving traditional culture and even from national cultural cognition, re-use the concept of ‘arts and crafts’ in high school education, keep and develop its rich meaning in expressing traditional Chinese forming culture, but not replace ‘arts and crafts’ hastily by ‘artistic design’.
