摘要
三步搜索法已经广泛地应用于低码率图象压缩中.由于三步搜索法第一步过于粗糙,容易陷入局部最小,对于那些小的运动矢量往往效果不太好,在此基础上提出了新三步搜索法,它在一定程度上弥补了三步搜索法的不足.针对低码率图象编码的特点,提出了一种新的运动估计算法,它具有与新三步搜索法相当的效果,速度上比新三步法和三步法有较大的提高.
The three step search (TSS) algorithm has been widely used as the motion estimation technique in some low bit rate video compression application. But the first step of the TSS is too rough and it is likely to make the searching trap into local minimum and is inefficient for estimation of small motions. Some people proposed a new three step search (NTSS) algorithm, which overcomes the shortcoming of the TSS. A new search algorithm which is suitable to low bit rate video compression is proposed in this paper. It is as effiecient as NTSS and has higher search speed than TSS and NTSS.
