摘要
18世纪的英国伦敦街头,家庭女佣人的身影随处可见。相对于她们普遍存在的事实,社会对她们的较少关注却把她们置于一个"隐形"的世界。在英国工业革命大背景下探讨分析这一"失语"的群体:她们何以要离乡背井,她们虚拟的城市生活为何与残酷的现实相去甚远,在以伦敦为代表的城市与乡村的对话里,她们又身在何处。对以上问题的探讨分析将不难看出,在经历了农村生活的不安以及城市生活的迷茫后,女佣人却陷入了城市与农村的夹缝之中。
In 18th century, there existed abundant female domestic servants in London. However, their ubiquitous existence did not win them enough concern, and they lived in an invisible world. Why would they leave the countryside to cities （London）？ Why was there a great difference between their visionary London life and the true life there？ And how could they avoid the conflict they met with in London？ The answers to these questions could reveal their embarrassing situation which has been embodied in both the insecurity in countryside and the uncertainty in London.
