Pei Song-zhi's Notes about the Three Kingdoms have always been criticized by historians for not being based casually and saying strange things, because in the Notes, Pei song-zhi cited the strange nature of the materials. But in fact, Pei Song-zhi was not careless when he quoted these literary materials. Pei Song-zhi covertly expressed his assessment of the historical figures in the Notes with cautious approach and covert means. Moreover, his contribution to the preservation of its novel materials and the use of novel materials to create the Notes for the history books should not be ignored.
