摘要
美国语言学家乔姆斯基创立的转换生成语法至今已有五十年的历史,其理论几经修改,成为理论语言学界的主流学派,拥有大批的追随者。从对乔姆斯基语言学思想的哲学基础、语言学论证及实证研究三个层面的分析得出,乔姆斯基的语言思想和研究方法自成体系,独树一帜,是语言学发展史上一个里程碑式跨越。
It is fifty years sinee Chomsky created the transformation-generative grammar. So far after being modified several times, the theory has become the mainstream with a large number of advocates. The analysis of Chomsky＇s theory in three aspeets： philosophical foundation, linguistic discussion and empirical study, shows that his linguistic thought and research methods are unique and another milestone in linguistic history.
