体育比赛中的"裁判"一词,在中文说法中,"裁判"可以通用到所有的体育项目中,但"裁判"一词的英语翻译则不然,不同的体育项目有不同的说法。旨在通过探讨不同体育项目的特点,分析Referee、Judge和Umpire 3个"裁判"翻译的区别,通过大量的例句进行分析,以总结出"裁判"一词翻译的规律。准确翻译"裁判",必须掌握Referee、Judge和Umpire 3个词的准确意思和区别,同时要符合各体育项目的传统惯例。
The Chinese word ＂裁判]＂ can be applied in any sports events and competitions,while the English interpretation cannot. The paper analyses the differences of the three interpretations of the Chinese word ＂裁判＂, i. e. referee,judge and ump＇ire and summarizes the interpretation rules with the illustration of the examples. The paper proposes to understand the three interpretations of referee,judge and umpire and also suggests that the interpretation should abide by the tradition of the sports items.
