摘要
生命现象从微观到宏观的各个层次,都存在着分形现象.分形理论已在生命科学领域得到了广泛的应用.本文介绍了分形、分形维数的基本概念,综述了分形理论在生物学中的应用,并对分形理论在生命科学领域中的应用前景进行了展望.
The importance of spatial and temporal scaling to the study of biological systems and processes has long been recognized. The paper deal with the origin and developments of fractal theory and demonstrate that concepts derived from fraetal theory are fundamental to the description and modeling of scale-related phenomena in biology, from the molecular to ecosystem levels of organization. Algorithms for estimating the fractal dimension are described, and numerous applications of fractal theory in the biological sciences are summarized.
