The paper analyzes the necessity of the intensification and maintenance of the previous stone arch bridges, illustrates the diseases of the bridges by combining with project examples, explores the principles for the intensification design of the old stone arch bridges, introduces the construction process of the intensification and maintenance for thee bridges, in order to accumulate experiences to intensify old bridges and to ensure the safety of roads.
