摘要
用四探针法、纵向表面磁光效应、极克尔磁光谱仪和椭圆偏振光谱仪研究了离子束溅射法制备的[Co90Al10(1.6nm)/Cu]30多层膜中的层间耦合、磁光效应及光学性质.结果发现对于Co-Al/Cu多层膜,其面内饱和场Hs、矫顽力Hc、磁电阻△R/R、特别是等效介电函数ε,磁光极克尔角θk。分别随Cu层厚度的变化同步作周期性的振荡,其周期为0.9nm.由此可见磁光效应及光学常数的振荡是由层间耦合振荡的结果,计算发现光学常数的振荡是磁光效应振荡的一个重要原因.
For sputtered [Co90Al10 (1. 6nm)/Cu]30 multilayers, the behavior of interlayercoupling,the magneto-resistance effect,the optical and magneto-optical properties were studied. It is fond that for Cu-Al/Cu multilayers,the in-plane saturation field and coercive force and the magneto-resistance ratio oscillate with a period of 0. 9nm,as a function of the Cu layer thickness. It is significant to find that the magneto-optical polar Kerr rotation and particularly the effective dielectric constant oscillate in a period of about 0. 9 nm. It is suggested that the optical and magneto-optical properties in Co-Al/Cu multilayers are modified by the oscillatory interlayer coupling. Numerical calculation shows that the oscillations of the effective optical contants play an important role in the oscillations of magneto-optical Kerr effect.
