摘要
《心是孤独的猎手》是美国女作家卡森.麦卡勒斯的代表作之一。文章分析了小说中塑造的一组性格、年龄、职业、肤色各异但却都饱受孤独之苦的人物,指出他们深层次的孤独和哀伤的表现、核心、由来等,小说主题从一个侧面反映了那个时代整体美国人的精神隔绝和信仰危机。
The Heart is a Lonely Hunter is one of the masterpieces of Carson MeCullers. The author, in a calm manner, depicts a group of people with different character, age, career and race yet all suffering a lot from the malady of loneliness. By describing the deeply-rooted loneliness and sadness of these people, the author manages to show the reader the ＂spiritual isolation＂ and belief crisis of the whole American people at that time.
