摘要
《汉报》(1896—1900)是日本在华第一家舆论机关。本文根据有关史料,揭示日本在华谍报据点汉口乐善堂与该报诞生的密切关系,阐述甲午战争前后汉口乐善堂骨干成员宗方小太郎奔走游说、成功接收该报的经过及其资金来源,探讨日本人接管该报的目的与编辑方针,进而指出:该报既是应甲午战争后日本政府实施"大陆政策"的新形势而诞生,同时也是日本大陆浪人对汉口乐善堂"事业"之延伸。
Hanbao( 1896 -1900)was the earliest public opinion institute published by Japanese in China. Based on historical data, this paper first reveals that the birth of Hanbao was closely related to Japanese spying institute Rakuzen - Do in Hankou. Then,it elaborates the process of Munekata Kotarog lobbying and efforts, who was one of the key figures of Rakuzen - Do, making the takeover successful and talks about its fund resources as well during Sino -Japanese War of 1894. It further analyzes the purpose of Japanese takeover and editing features of the newspaper. It concludes that the newspaper was the result of Japanese govemmentg "mainland policy" after Sino - Japanese War of 1894 and was the extension of Rakuzen - Do "career".
