摘要
《唐摭言》的编纂条理有欠规整,曾受过岑仲勉和李慈铭等人批评,编纂思想也未予述明。但从分布于各卷后的论赞和部分条目下的简短评议中,以及对相关人事评骘的语气上看,其编纂是有着明显的思想倾向。大致来说,主要为二:一是对进士科地位的高度重视;二是在特定历史时期所体现出的鄙薄士风、惩戒未来的教育作用。
The book Tang Chib - yen is not coherent in structured compilation, which has received some criticized from Cenzhong Mian and Lee Ciming, besides, the compilation intention also has not been stated. However, seen from those discussions after every volume and some short entry in the book, Wang Ting - pao had droped some hints about the important clear intention of his book. Generally speaking, mainly for two, first is the great importance status of the Jinshi in the imperial examination system in Tang Dynasty. the second is the education motive which wished to criticize civilization ethos in his time, and to erect a disciplinary role in the future.
