Until now, wool has only been used in technical applications in the form of wool felt. However, due to its heat insulation and moisture absorption it offers ideas for innovative applications. This article looks at if non-wovens from non-spinnable wool for niche products within technical applications can be produced by needling in conjunction with thermal additional hardening.
