摘要
"科学的社会责任"问题是科学与社会间不断增强互动的产物。科学共同体对这一问题的传统认知主要限于科学的社会应用方面,涉及到科学与外部社会的关系。但是,随着科技的快速发展,科技本身成为当代社会的重要风险源,科学与社会的关系呈现出许多新的状况和问题,"科学的社会责任"也因此出现了一些新的要求。结合西方社会理论家的风险社会理论,对现代科技发展与风险社会的关系,以及在风险社会环境下如何理解和认识"科学的社会责任"等问题进行了探讨。
The problem ＂the Social Responsibilities of Science＂ arises from the increasing interactions between science and society. The traditional cognition of this problem by the science community is mainly confined to application of science to society which involves the relations between science and the external world. However, due to their rapid development, science and technology have become the main sources of risk, thus causing new conditions and new problems so far as the relations between science and technology are concerned. As a result, the social responsibilities of science have taken on new demands. The paper, with the help of the western sociologists＇ theories of risk society,explored the present relations between the risk society and the development of science and technology, and on the other hand it demonstrated how to understand problems such as the social responsibilities of science in the big environment of risk society.
