摘要
1948年丘吉尔提出了三环外交,这标志着英国外交政策的重大转变。三环外交的出笼,有着历史的和现实的原因。从历史的方面看,三环外交是英国放弃光荣孤立之后的必然选择。从现实方面看,三环外交是英国实力变化的无奈选择。英国想通过三环外交,成为世界上的第三种力量,继续保持自己的大国地位,谋求其全球利益。
Churchill put forward three Circles Diplomacy in 1948, and this means British had changed its foreign policy greatly. The emergence of three Circles Diplomacy has its historical and practical reasons. In historical aspect, three Circles Diplomacy was the inevitable choice of British government after Britain gave up glorious isolation. In practical aspect, three Circles Diplomacy was the painful choice of Britain because of the change of strength. Britain wanted to depend on three Circles Diplomacy to become the third power in the world, and continue to keep its position of big power and seek its global interests.
