Hypoxia-inducible factor 1 ( HIF-1 ) is a transcription factor in the body of mammalian and human when the environment is short of oxygen , mediating the accommodation of histiocyte cell to hypoxia by up-regulating some gene. It is an important regulation factor reacting to oxygen poor, and its biological effects are implemented by HIF-1 subunit. HIF-1 plays an important functions in keeping stabilization of oxygen, cell energy metabolism, the vasifaction of tumor, cell proliferation and apotosis. This article discussed the biological characteristics of HIF-1 , and its roles in formation, development and prognostic effection in hematologic neoplasms.
