2008不寻常的中国一年：可歌可泣之事固多，应忧患之项也不少。喜极忘忧——宁有不惧？就本学界言即如是。汶川大灾的人类学思考与关怀虽少尚及时，羌文化灾后得救实也可贵!从三聚氰胺牛奶到大陆鸡蛋而推至饲料的沸沸扬扬，再想当年SARS世惊，人类学家们安心何有？凡此等等深层，须深思、须探索之处，也不可看作是些鸡毛蒜皮!
NORTHWEST ETHNO-NATIONAL STUDIES is a quarterly journal exclusively for the studies on the anthropology of all the minorities cultures of Northwest China. Under the direct leadership of China State Ethnic Affairs Commission, the journal is sponsored by Northwest University for Nationalities and chiefly edited by Prof. Hao Sumin.
