In the process of developing and applying MRPⅡ there exist insufficiencies in the two following aspects: its adaptability to environment and rightsizing of hardware and software resources. This paper analyses the working principles of client/server (C/S) model and characteristics of MRPⅡ based on the C/S architecture. In the paper the authors put forward methods for transforming MRPⅡ from LAN to C/S .
