Objective To observe of hormonal metabolic changes in fresh and frozen ovary transplantation in castrated rats.Method The castrated rats were subcutaneously transplanted with fresh or frozen ovary(neonatal rat within three days) in the right lower abdomen. The levels of T3,T4,TSH,T,E2,P,LH and FSH in the rats were measured before transplantation and at the first, second month after transplantation.Result The T level in the frozen ovary transplantation group was significantly higher compared with that of the fresh ovary transplantation group(P〈0.01).The hormone indexes of the frozen ovary transplantation group were not significantly different compared with those in the fresh ovary transplantation group at the first month after transplantation(P〉0.05);The E2 of the frozen ovary transplantation group was significantly higher compared with that in the fresh ovary transplantation group at the second month after transplantation(P〈0.01).The levels of T4,T,E2,P,LH of the fresh ovary transplantation group were significantly higher in comparison with those in the rats before transplantation at the second month after operation(P〈0.05;P〈0.01).The levels of E2 and P of the frozen ovary transplantation group at the second month after operation were significantly higher compared with those before operation (P〈0.05;P〈0.01).Conclusions The hormone level of the rats with frozen ovary transplantation are significantly elevated in comparison with the rats with fresh ovary transplantation.
