摘要
可编程片上系统将处理器、存储器I、/O接口等系统设计必需的功能模块集成到一个可编程逻辑器件上,具有灵活的设计方式、可裁减、可扩充、可升级等优点,并具备软件硬件在系统可编程的功能。详细给出了基于Altera公司的SOPC器件完成USB设备控制器IP核的设计方法和过程。首先是对USB控制器IP核功能模块的划分,然后是分模块进行具体的设计。重点讲述了串行接口引擎控制状态机和端点控制器的设计。最后,在实现USB设备控制器的基础上,对整个设计进行对仿真、验证和综合。
System on programmable chip (SOPC) integrates processors, memories, I/O interfaces and others modules those are necessary to system into a programmable logic device. Its merit includes flexible design manner, can be reduced, expanded and upgraded. Furthermore, its hardware and soft-ware is programmed online. The design method and procedure of universal serial bus (USB) device controller based on SOPC device from Altera company is presented. First the function module of IP core is partitioned and then the modules are designed in detail. The design emphases are serial interface engineer (SIE) and endpoint controller (EC). In the end, on the basis of the realization of the USB controller, the whole project is simulated, validated and synthesized.
