摘要
首先梳理了文化相对主义的基本理论,分析了文化相对主义与多元文化的关系,提出对不同文化要以平等的眼光来看待,恰当地运用文化相对主义的立场和观点理解问题、解决问题。然后以中美两国学者对沈从文作品评价为例,阐明文化相对主义对文学批评的意义,阐述了允许多种批评标准存在的文学批评观点,并从乡土文学和文学史的角度指出它对中国文学发展的重要性。
The basic theories of cultural relativism are dealt with and the relationship between cultural relativism and muhiculture is analysed. An equal attitude towards different cultures should be adopted and relevant problems solved on the basis of cultural relativism. Then the meaning of cultural relativism for literary criticism is made clear, taking for example the different criticisms made by Chinese scholars and American scholars on the novels by Shen Congwen,and the point of view of letting coexist different standards of literary criticism is elaborated, thus the important influence of cultural relativism on the Chinese literary development can be seen from the angles of native literature and literature history.
