摘要
广场是西方文化特产的观点在国内外普遍流行。本文根据文献资料,简要分析了中国传统广场的起源、类型及其发展过程,证明了中国古代城市不仅存在着丰富多彩的广场文化和广场生活,而且中国还拥有世界上最为悠久的广场体系。最后简要分析了传统广场的社会文化内涵。
This paper, based on abundant written Chinese documents, points out that not only were there rich and diverse square culture and square life in ancient Chinese cities, but the square system had the longest history throughout the world. It also analyzes the origin, types and the evolvement of the ancient Chinese squares and the social and cultural connotations of the square as well.
