萨满教起源于母系氏族社会晚期,距今已有近万年的历史.蒙古博的产生比中国"三教"儒、释、道教更早.科尔沁博是氏族中能悬鉴远事、经验丰富、德高望重、敢预言吉凶、法术高超的人.他们的思维敏锐,反应迅速,逻辑性强,预测较准确.他们的职能是治病、驱邪、祭祀等.科尔沁博是多神信仰,她得以幸存下来的原因是科尔沁特殊地理位置;科尔沁蒙古族固有的深厚博信仰;科尔沁博的斗争策略;科尔沁博的功能法术惊异了喇嘛和帝王;科尔沁博与喇嘛教合二为一.科尔沁博在历史的变迁中创发了蒙医整骨与安代舞.
Shamanism originated from the late maternal clan society and has existed for nearly ten thousand years up to now. The origin of Mongolian Bo was earlier than that of Chinese three religions, namely Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. Mongolian Bo meant the persons who could foresee the future, had rich experience, enjoyed high prestige and commanded universal respect, predicted good or ill luck, possessed superb magic arts, and also had quick and logical thinking, fast response and accurate prediction. They were responsible for curing diseases, getting rid of evils and offering sacrifices to gods or ancestors. Kerchin Bo belonged to a kind of polytheism, whose survival was attributed to the specific geographical position of Kerchin, people＇ s deep faith in Bo in Kerchin region, tactics of struggle of it, its role and magic arts amazing Lama and ruler and the union of Kerehin Bo with Lamaism. Mongolian osteopathy and Andai Dance developed in the changes of Kerchin Bo.
