林华东教授新作《泉州方言研究》是一部有独特创见论述精彩的方言力作。全书材料新鲜详实、观点新颖独特、论述深入细致。尤其是,在泉州方言形成时间、闽南方言"中心语+修饰语"词序、泉州方言语气词问题上,更是开辟了研究新视野、拓宽了研究新领域。此外,该书在泉州方言与闽南文化的关系、方言研究的方法和原则等方面也作了许多创见性的论述。
Professor Lin Huadong＇s new book ＂A Study of Quanzhou Dialect＂ is an original and impressive book on dialect. With a large number of substantial materials, the book proves successfully the author＇s points of view, which are creative and fresh. Formation time of Quanzhou dialect, the word order of ＂headwordq-adjunct words＂ and modal particles are specifically and originally illustrated in the book. Besides that,there are many insightful discourses on the relationship of Quanzhou dialect and culture of south of fujian,on the methods and principles of dialect research.
