摘要
通过对GIS技术发展概况的论述,介绍了GIS技术在供水行业的应用现状,系统地分析了GIS技术在城市供水管网中的基本功能与作用,并指出供水管网系统是GIS的一个较新的应用领域,进一步开发应用的前景十分广阔。
By the illustration of the developmental survey of GIS technology, the paper introduces the application situation of GIS technology in water-supply industry, systematically analyzes the basic functions and roles of GIS technology in urban water-supply network, and points out that the water-supply network system is a new application field of GIS and the application future will be more intensive.
