摘要
鸦片战争以降,美国人心目中的"中国形象"逐渐恶化。然而,20世纪30年代,"中国形象"却产生了重大转变。在此转变过程中,美国作家赛珍珠的小说作品《大地》及由其改编的同名电影扮演了重要角色。本文分析电影《大地》中所体现的正面为主的"中国形象",以及这一积极形象背后的历史、社会成因。
Since the Opium Wars, the image of China had got deteriorated in the eyes of the American public. However, in the 1930s, such an image went through significant changes. During the process, Pearl Buck＇s novel ＂The Good Earth＂ and the Hollywood film carrying the same title played important roles. This article attempts at analyzing the positive image of China in the film and the underlying historical and social factors contributing to such an image.
