摘要
辜鸿铭曾享誉德国,对德国也情有独钟。他反复征引歌德作品,大至政治立场和社会前途,小到生活的智慧,都在歌德处寻求印证,力图在歌德观念和儒家学说间建立对等关系。在他看来,歌德就是欧洲的孔子,歌德的人格魅力和道德理想才是欧洲的精神归宿。
Ku Hung Ming, who once enjoyed a good reputation in Germany, has a great passion for Germany. From the political position, the future of society to the wisdom of existence Ku Hung Ming always cites viewpoints from Goethe＇s works which he uses to verify his own points of view, and at the same time Ku Hung Ming also strives to establish coordinating relations between ideology of Goethe＇s and that of Confucianism. To him, Goethe whose ideology and personality charm are the spiritual home for Europe is Confucius of Europe.
