摘要
宇文所安(Stephen Owen)这位被学术界称为"为唐诗而生"的美国汉学家,以其对中国原典的娴熟理解与睿智、机巧的解释,对中西文化理论价值取向的深刻认识与把握为学术界所共知。然而,他对中国古典文学研究所体现出的把西方文化的精髓与最新的西方后现代文化发展的潮流完美结合在一起的特点给人留下的印象更为深刻。比如,宇文所安把中国古典文学传统中回忆的主题与各种后现代理论中关于"真"与语言本质的分析密切结合在一起。其文章典型地表现了后现代的基本风格,这就是对逻各斯中心主义清晰、明确、绝对、和谐、统一等基本特征及其内在矛盾的揭示,通过细读文本,在展现其内在矛盾中解构传统的基本观念。与此同时,宇文所安对立场价值、人性、文化权力运作模式及传统知识分子身份、心态的分析,使他表现了与其他汉学家不同的风格,为我们反思中国古典文学与比较文学的研究提供了有益的参照。
Stephen Owen is one of the most famous scholars for his studies on Chinese classical literature over the world, espeeially on Tang poetry. Most of his books are translated in Chinese, but his basic ideas about Chinese culture and the west culture are always misunderstood in our academes, especially his relationship with the western contemporary and the traditional literary theory, such as the modernism, postmodernism and the ancient Greek philosophy. Thus we should do some more important research to understand his basic ideas about the differences of the different cultures.
