简述了金属氧化物混相颜料的种类和性能，着重介绍了符合环境保护要求、产品附加值高、市场潜力大的这类无机彩色颜料在替代铬黄和钼红方面，以及在卷材涂料、超耐大型外用建筑涂料、耐高温涂料、公路标志涂料和伪装涂料中的应用。
Varieties and performances of mixed metal oxide pigments were outlined. The author put emphasis on those pigments which may meet the requirements of environmental protection, may add higher value in their production and have bigger market potentiality. He pointed out these color pigments may find uses in coil coatings,extrausdurable exterior architectural coatings,high temperature resistance coatings,traffic marking coatings and camouflage coatings to replace chrome yellow and molybdenum red.
