摘要
改革开放以来，我国西部地区银行市场结构发生了深刻变化，经济也取得了前所未有的发展，银行市场结构的转变与该地区经济增长之间似乎存在某种联系。通过对西部地区1999-2004年银行市场集中度与地区生产总值的相关合成数据进行实证分析，发现银行市场结构转变确实促进了西部地区的经济增长，从而为进一步转变西部地区的银行市场结构提供了经验支持。
Since the reform and opening up, the market structure of bank industry in western China has been deeply changed and the development of economy in the region is also unprecedented. It seems there is some kind of relationship between the transformation of bank market structure and the region＇s economic growth. Through an empirical analysis of the region＇s panel data from 1999 to 2004, it can be disclosed that the transformation of bank market structure really accelerate western China＇s economic growth, which provide an empirical support for further transformation of bank market structure in western China.
