摘要
本文概述了一个基于PCI总线的多媒体通信子系统的主要特征,讨论了硬件和软件的系统结构,高效实现了软件化视频编码器,实验表明,在公用电话网(PSTN)传输时,该子系统对QCIF格式视频序列可以得到每秒8帧的传送速率和可接受的视频质量,语音传送占用6.3k~4.
In this paper,we outline the key technical characteristics of a multimedia communication subsystem based on PCI bus.The system architecture of hardware and software is discussed.The software-based video codec is realized efficiently.The experimental results of this subsystem transmitting over Public Switched Telephone Network(PSTN)show that acceptable video for QCIF resolution at 8 frames per second and fidelity voice that occupies 6.3k~4.1k channel band can be reached.
