摘要
多元数据的平行坐标是信息可视化的主流技术之一。平行坐标的一个显著优点是其具有良好的数学基础,其射影几何解释和对偶特性使它可以很好地同时表达高维数据在多个低维子空间的投影信息。本文首先阐述了平行坐标的基本原理,并且推导了欧式空间的可微曲线在平行坐标空间的表达形式。接着综述了平行坐标的研究现状,分析了平行坐标应用于可视化数据分析和模式识别领域的潜力并且指出了未来的发展方向。
Parallel coordinates is one of the mainstream technology of information visualization. A notable merit of parallel coordinates is its well-founded mathematical foundation. Its projective geometrical interpretation and duality properties facilitate the simultaneous projection information representation of multiple low dimension subspaces. The principle of parallel coordinates are introduced firstly, then the differentiable curves' representation in parallel coordinate space is derived. The research status of parallel coordinates is reviewed, the potential of parallel coordinates in visual data analysis and pattern recognition is analyzed and future works are also pointed out finally.
