摘要
刘宋统治者出自寒门,"本无术学",终其一代,其皇族子弟在文化上普遍表现出粗鄙化的特征。不过,一般说来,寒门人物获得统治地位后,随着与高门士族日益紧密的联系,必然或多或少地在文化上趋于"士族化"。就刘宋皇族而言,其最显达的一支为宋文帝一房,对士族文化的模仿、汲取的程度也最高。宋文帝及其子孙在经史学术、玄学谈论及文学、书法、音乐、围棋等方面皆有所涉猎,某些方面还达到了一定的境界。由于他们具有统治地位,其喜好往往造成某种风气,引起社会文化风尚的变化。
LiuSong rulers were of lowly origin and had neither learning nor ability. Culturally, coarse language and vulgar behavior were the specific properties of their sons and younger brothers. In generally, after they won political power,with keeping close contact with the rich and powerful families of scholar-officials, they were certainly affected from the culture of family of scholar-officials. In terms of LiuSong royal clan, they were good at studying the culture of familiy of scholar-officials. Song literary emperors and their descendants made a cursory study of Confucian classics, history, philosophy and belles-letters, Dark learning, literature, calligraphy, music, encirclement chess and so on, and even their cultural level was above average in some ways. Meanwhile their ruling position turned their preference into certain kind of social atmosphere to cause the change of culturally common practice.
