摘要
诺贝尔文学奖得主赛珍珠以其独特的文化身份,"双焦透视"中西文化,以切肤体验和智慧感悟中西文化的真义、差异和冲突,以毕生的跨文化创作和社会活动寻求跨文化理解、融通之道,从而形成了其极具历史前瞻性的中西文化和合思想,倡导中西文化的"和而不同,美美与共"。赛珍珠中西文化和合思想的形成有着极为深刻的历史、文化、社会和宗教渊源,探讨其所蕴涵的丰富内涵无疑对于我们在全球化语境下建构一种全球和合共生的文化价值体系有着重要的借鉴意义。
Standing between the two cultures all her life, the Nobel laureate Pearl. S. Buck intimately experienced and interpreted the essence of and the differences and clash between Chinese and Western cultures from her unique bifocal perspective. She devoted herself to the promotion of the intercultural understanding and melding of Chinese and Western cultures and the advocacy of a harmonious symbiosis of Chinese and Western cultures through her life-long literary creation and intercultural activities. Her idea of a harmonious symbiosis evolves from her understanding of Chinese and Western histories, cultures, societies and religions, which can serve as a great enlightening resource for the construction of a harmonious global cultural system in the context of globalization.
