摘要
母语在外语教学中的作用和影响一直是外语界研究的焦点之一。研究者们对此提出了许多相似或相悖的假说,并从语言学、心理学和文化等角度对各自的学说进行论证。笔者认为人的知识是一个系统的整体,学习者原有的知识必然成为新知识的参照系。汉语在中国学生学习外语过程中起着重要作用,英语教学中要充分发挥母语正迁移的作用。本文通过对母语迁移观点的评析,依据外语教学的理论和实践,探讨母语正迁移在大学英语教学中的应用。
The effect of mother tongue on foreign language teaching has always been one of the research focuses in English area. Researchers have presented many similar and contrasting hypotheses pertinent to this question, and have tested their respective theories from the perspective of linguistics, psychology and cultural studies, The author believes that people's cognition is a systematical whole. Therefore, the newly acquired knowledge is certainly based on that been obtained before, Mother tongue plays a significant role in Chinese English learners' English learning. We, English teachers, should fully use the positive transfer function of our native language to improve English teaching, Based on theories and practice of language teaching, this paper first brings forth the analysis of the two different views on transfer of mother tongue, focuses on the positive transfer function and then discusses the positive way of using mother tongue in college English teaching.
