摘要
古代"拜"礼有通称、专称之别,关于专称之"拜",《荀子》定义为"平衡曰拜",古今释"拜"者多引此说,但历来众说纷纭,难有定论。考诸众说,"拜"当为跪而拱手至地,低头与腰平。
In Ancient Chinese, “Bai” was interpreted generally and specifically. Specifically, “Bai” in Xun Zi was interpreted as balance, which was followed by most of the scholars. However, controversial interpretation aroused many discussions. The author concludes that to “Bai”means to keel with hands holding on the floor, head dropping to parallel with waist.
