In our recent paper （Zhou ＆ Wen 2007）, a new species, Lactarius imbricatus M.X. Zhou ＆ H.A. Wen was published with Latin and English descriptions, illustrations, and type designation. The name was not, however, validly published because the specimen designated as holotype was stated to be kept in two herbaria. This is contrary to the requirement of Art. 37.7 of ICBN that ＂the single herbarium ... in which the type is preserved must be specified＂ （McNeill et al. 2006）.
