摘要
在回顾传统的城市设计与计算机可视化发展的基础上,提出了对城市设计可视化的认识,包括可视化城市设计的步骤、主要内容及技术要点等,并对继续发展可视化城市设计提出了建议.
Based on the development of Urban Design and Visual Design in Computer Science, some views on the Visual Urban Design are put forward in this paper, which will help resolve the current problems between the Urban Design in a motive process and its expression in a static way. In contrast with conventional Urban Design, the conception of Visual Urban Design is a new way of Urban Design, which can be used in drawing up plans, adjusting and expressing the final product, and designers can make clear their ideas more freely and accurately than before. In general, Visual Urban Design comprises four working steps:1. collecting related materials and changing them into database which can be distinguished by computers; 2. compiling these data into model groups; 3. intergrating the model troups into model base; 4. polishing the final product until the existing state has optimally visual and artistic effect. From the third step, Visual Urban Design gets into the essence stage, whose advantage can be fully reflected by designers' copying data and models conveniently and variably. However, in order to put Visual Urban Design into effect, some necessary and special technical assistance is needed: First, it is essential to have the immense database to sustain Visual Design's work. Second, programs (or the software) have to be so advanced that designers can flexibly maneuver a great number of indexes and models. On the other hand, Model base must process the function of derivation and can induce new pictures. In addition, DTM(Digital Terrain Model) must be quickly finished. Finally, the software for Visual Urban Design must have some command of fundamental edit. At present, Visual Urban Design is still in the rudimentary stage,and a further and thorough research in this field is in need.
