作者与译者的对话:曾朴的《鲁男子》与法国小说《肉与死》

摘要 《孽海花》的作者曾朴虽然在文学史上以晚清小说家知名,但二十世纪二三十年代他重登新文坛,创办真美善书店与《真美善》杂志,并通过自己的创作、翻译和出版活动参与到新文学建设之中。在真美善时期,曾朴自觉融会自身的中西文学修养,创作了小说《鲁男子·恋》,与此同时,他还翻译了法国作家皮埃尔.路易的小说《肉与死》。在《鲁男子》的作品主题、言语方式和艺术手法上,曾朴既受到《肉与死》的启发,又进行了个性化的处理,从中可以看出曾朴创作与翻译活动的自觉对话。 Zeng Pu was a well-known writer for his novel Nie Hai Hua in the late Qing Dynasty in China. From 1920's to 1930's, he had a new start by establishing Bookshop of Truth, Beauty and Good as well as a magazine with the same name. He actively took part in literary creation, translation and publishing. The novel of Man of Lu was finished while he translated the French novel Aphrodite by Pierre Louys. Obviously, the thesis, way of expression and the artistic creation were inspired by Aphrodite though some details had been personalized. Thus a conscious dialogue between the writer and the translator was clearly demonstrated by Zeng Pu.
