摘要
小波变换运用于图像压缩是目前研究的热门话题，本文在已有小波压缩技术的基础上，充分利用人类视觉具有注意力集中机制的特性，提出了加权小波系数的改进方法，对某些人类视觉敏感区域实现可变压缩比，取得了令人满意的结果．在图像压缩比相似的情况下，主观图像质量得到明显改善．该算法简单，易于软件及硬件实现．
More researchers put their interesting in image compression using wavelets transform. We develop a simple weighted focusing technique for image compression, which allows us to single out interesting region and obtain variable compression rate over an image. Under the same compression rate, the quality of the compressed image is improved under the subject criteria. This algorithm is simple and easy to implement with hardware or software.
