摘要
城市公共艺术由于其广泛、开放地存放于城市公共空间,用其生动鲜明具像可视的艺术形态,铭刻、叙述、表现着城市的故事、历史文脉、市民风情、社会理想,代表着城市大众的公共意识和公共精神,它是城市文化和个性的重要载体和传播媒体。城市公共艺术在塑造城市文化和个性气质中起着重要的作用。
The urban public arts is the important conveyor and media of city＇s culture and character because of its broad existence and vivid image in portraying the city＇s stories, history, civilian life and social ideal which embodies the public spirit and ideas of the city. This paper illustrates the functions of urban public arts in portraying city＇s culture and character by combining the themes of public arts with public cultures.
