There are extensive chemical signal exchanges between parasitic plants and their host plants, which ensure the establishment of parasitic relationship. These chemical signal exchanges have drawn much attention from academicians. Therefore, this paper summarized the interactions of plant root chemical signals and parasitic plants, variety chemical substances that induce the germination and haustorium formation of the parasite, the biosynthesis of stimulants of germination, and the perception of germination stimulants by the parasite.
