摘要
洋务运动时期,洋务派与顽固派、改良派围绕"要不要学习西方"和"怎样学习西方"进行了激烈的思想论争,论争及洋务运动的实践促进了近代中国思想界的觉醒与社会的进步。此外,洋务派兴办的洋务学堂对中国传统教育向现代教育的转型也有着重要影响。
During the period of Westernization Movement, debates erupted on whether or not to learn from the West and how to learn among the westemizationists, diehards and reformists. The debates, as well as the Westernization Movement, enlightened China and played an important role in modem China. In addition,schools established by the westemizationists were of great significance to the turning of traditional education to modem education.
