摘要
衔接理论是篇章语言学和语篇分析中的重要理论。以篇章语言学的衔接理论为基础,以出现在新视野大学英语课本中的课文为语料,探讨衔接理论在阅读教学中的实践意义。分别从衔接理论对于培养学生猜测词义、略读、寻读和分析文体特征四个有效阅读策略方面加以分析,展示了衔接理论在阅读教学中的应用潜力。
The theory of cohesion is of great importance in text linguistics and discourse analysis. The author attempts to discuss practical application of cohesion theory in reading class through several texts in New Horizon English. In so doing, the paper analyzes the role of cohesion theory in helping students to develop the following four effective reading strategies: inferring unknown vocabulary, skimming, scanning and identifying stylistic features. The analyses show that the theory has great potentiality in reading class.
