在琼东沿岸,夏季存在风生上升流,流速达3.8×10^(-3)cm/s,由于强烈的海水上升,使地处热带海区的琼东沿岸夏季表层海水水温低于20℃,是我国夏季最低的表层水温,形成一年中出现两个“冬天”的独特生态环境。海水上升的“施肥”作用可提高海水的初级生产力,但上升流的变异,却会给海洋生物的生态环境带来不利的影响。
There is a wind-caused upwelling along the east coast of Hainan in Summer. Its central position is above the 30 m depth along the coast, and its annual variation is quite large. The upwelling appears early in summer, and disappears late in autumn. In July 1984, because the area was affected by upwelling water, the lowest sea water temperature of the upwelling center at sea bottom was 19.36℃, 19.46℃ at sea surface, which were the lowest sea water temperature of China Sea in summer. And the value was lower than that in winter. As a result, a unique feature of ecological environment, i. e. two winters in one year, will appear in the area.In July 1984, the velocity of the upwelling center in the north of Gangbei harbour was 3.8×10-3 cm/s, the vertical flux of active phosphate 2.0m mol/(m2·d) and the primary productivity 2 436 mg/(m2·d). The physical and chemical characteristic values in the area of the up-welling were as follows: temperature 21.86℃, salinity 34.42, dissolved oxygen 4.39 ml/L, oxygen saturation degree 88.0%, pH value 8.04, and active phosphate 0.49 m mol/m3, on an average.In the whole area, there was a phenomenon of upward water temperature inversion during the upwelling disappearance.
