Abstract ‘Longshu No. 7 ＇ is a new potato variety developed by crossing female parent‘Zhuangshu No. 3 ＇ with male parent‘ Fritolay＇. It is a late maturing variety, and takes about 120 days from sowing to harvest. Its dormancy period is very long. The tuber is of long ellipse shape with yellow skin and flesh. Its bud eyes are shallow. Its surface is smooth. The rate of commercial tuber is 80 %. The average content of dry matter is 25.2 % ,starch is 18.75 % ,VC is 203.1 mg·kg^-1 ,crude protein is 2.68 % ,reducing sugar is O. 18 %. It has stronger resistance to late blight and mosaic virus than that of ‘ Weishu No. 1 ＇. It can yield 30 t ·hm^-2 ,and even higher as 45 t · hm^-2. It is suitable to be cultivated in the region with high altitude and low temperature, in half shaded land and semi-arid area of Gansu province.
