摘要
虚拟专用局域网服务(VPLS)技术是融合以太网及IP/MPLS技术的一种2层VPN技术。两者的结合,使它能够为城域以太网业务提供更加完善的服务,但VPLS技术本身还有很多亟待突破的技术问题,其实际商用价值还有待运营商的关注,其技术本身也需要更进一步自我完善。
Virtue Private LAN Service （VPLS） is a Layer 2 VPN technology which combines Ethernet and IP/MPLS, It could provide better services to metropolitan Ethernet network services, while there are also technical problems to be solved. The realization of its commercial value depends on more attention from operators and the improvement of itself.
